Le Soir Noir Season 1 Episode 2

I know it has been several weeks since I posted the premiere of Le Soir Noir, and so today is the day where I post episode two! I would like to warn you in advance: I will use French sayings/words in the episodes to come. I can imagine your reactions now, "Oh my gosh, but how will I understand it???" Well, I will post a "dictionary" of sorts at the end of every episode. The French words will be in Italics, so it will be easy to tell them apart from the other words. I thought adding French words into the story would:
#1: Make the story more interesting
and 
#2: Help those of you who are taking French and myself with learning French and practicing it
Without further ado, here goes!

From Corinne's Point of View:

 A small noise began to arouse me. I had been sleeping fitfully. I fully awoke, but did not open my eyes. Suddenly, the sound of a baby's scream pierced the air. Wait a minute, there aren't any babies at my house, I thought. (Sorry, I know that's not French, but that's how you write down a thought)

 My eyes snapped open, and a bright white light blinded me momentarily. Daylight.

 I sat up and began to observe my surroundings, feeling very alarmed.

 Wait a minute, that's not my vanity.

 I said out loud, "And what in the world, why is my dress- I was just-" I looked down and saw I was not wearing my dress.

 I picked the dress up, and examined it. There was a large rip, partially repaired at the cross section of the bodice and the skirt. I grunted. "Comment e'tait je fait?"

 The door in the corner of the room started to open. I threw the dress back on to the chair. 

 "Bonne journee!" the woman said. "Ca va?"

 She shut the door as she entered the room.

 She then began to walk towards the bed. I shifted my body, positioning myself as far from this mysterious person as possible. 

 "Uhhh...bonjour?" I replied. "What is this place?"

 "Oh, don't worry. You're safe in the hospital." She reached to touch my face. I backed away and looked at her. Her hair was a mess, and there were dark circles under her eyes as if she had lost much sleep. 

 "Why do you keep trying to touch me, and who are you?" I ask, my voice quavering.

 "Oh, pardon moi. Je m'appelle Josette. Nurse Josette. I'm your nurse and I need to check your injuries."

 She walked over to the vanity and I inquired, "What injuries? And why am I in the hospital?" I thought, "I need to leave or she'll capture me!!"

 Josette poured some water from the pitcher into the basin.

 She then brought the basin over to the bed and set it down.

 She picked up a delicate towel and got it damp. 

 I once again moved away from her.

 "Please, you have a fever, I need to try to cool you down."

 I reluctantly moved closer, and she dabbed my cheeks with the water. 

 She then dabbed my forehead.

 She put the towel and the basin back, moved to the other side of the bed, and sat down. "What do you remember?"

 I sighed and collected my thoughts. "I remember running. And after that, it's a bit of a blur."

 Josette nodded and said, "After that, you fell out of a tree." She pulled something out of her pocket and dropped it on the bed. 

 "This broke when you fell. I tried to paste it, but I believe it requires the attention of a jeweler." I slowly leaned over, picking up the barrette carefully. Tears flooded my eyes and I whispered, "Aurelie." 

 "Are you tired?" Josette asked. 
"Yes. I'm tired of nothing ever working out!!" I sobbed.

 I threw the barrette down on the ground. 

 I turned over and let the tears flow. 

 I could feel Josette's gaze. She was confused. I could sense that. She left, letting the door close softly. 

 I sat up and looked at the door to make sure she was gone, the hot tears still running down my face. 

 I then got up and grabbed my dress.

I walked to the door and left the room hoping never to return.

Comment e'tait je fait?: What was I doing?
Bonne journee! Ca va?: Good day! How are you?
Bonjour: Hello, or short for good day
Pardon moi: Pardon me or excuse me
Je m'appelle: Literally translated "the name of me", the same as "my name is"

So I know there are several unanswered questions, but they will be answered in later episodes. Predictions? Also what do you guys think so far?

Summer-y Photoshoot, or The End of Summer

I know summer is long gone, but I promised you all this photo shoot, so here it is. I took over 250 photos of the girls, but I'm only going to be posting 26 of them. (However, the photos I took may appear in later posts, you never know!) Enjoy! (P.S. All photos are SOOC!)

 UGH...that stupid branch got in my way again. Oh well, the photo looks okay :D

 This cat is our pet cat Penelope. She decided she wanted to have me take photos of her and Cecile :D

 This one's really out of focus, and it's kind of bugging me.

So, what do you guys think? Which are your favorites? Out of the 200 some odd photos I took for this photo shoot, these were all my favorites. :)
Update: June and I are going to be placing an order with AG tonight or tomorrow, so we'll probably post an opening photoshoot. (We aren't allowed to use YouTube very much so that's why it's not a video) What do you think we're buying?

Never Forget

Hello everyone. So for those of you who don't know and who don't live in the states, today is 9/11. We just wanted to take a moment to remember, because for the US, today is a very sad day. For those of you who don't know what it is, you can look up the videos of the Twin Towers collapsing on YouTube. Basically what happened is several planes were hijacked by terrorists, and they flew the planes into the Twin Towers in New York, the Pentagon, and were planning to crash one of the planes into the White House, but were stopped by the passengers aboard. The video is kind of frightening, so if you get startled easily, we don't recommend it. Never forget everyone, and God bless the USA!

Le Soir Noir

Hello everyone!! I FINALLY have a name picked out for my photo series. It's probably pretty obvious to you what the name is; it's in the title of this post. Anyway, I chose "Le Soir Noir" because: 

1. It fit the story pretty well. For those of you who don't speak French, Le Soir Noir literally translates to the Black Night. You may have seen on the first episode my comment on Felicity being secretive. "The Black Night" fits well for this because, well, secrets=darkness. Anyway, you're probably done hearing about the metaphor.

2. "The Black Night" did not stand out to me. I wanted it to be a more catchy name that could actually be the title of an actual TV show. (this will probably never be a stop motion or anything like that, but hey, I'm trying to be realistic) Anyway, using my *small amount* of knowledge of the French language, I came up with this name.

Do you all like the new name? Also, did you notice that I added a tab for the photo series? I would love to post the second episode soon but I have three big problems: my camera is dead, it's really rainy outside almost everyday (at least lately, it's really strange), and I have A LOT of homework. Anyway, as soon as I get around to charging my camera, the weather gets better, and I stop having so much homework, I will post episode 2 and the (how many is it...?) four things I have already promised you. Happy Birthday!!

Hello everyone! Long time no photo-story...I guess...? I dunno. Ignore my weirdness I guess. Anyway, today is special because it is Labor Day!! Yay!! Although, to me it has another meaning, too. Today is Molly and Felicity's Birthday!!! So, therefore, I made a photo story about their b-day. (I got my inspiration from Mint's Birthday photo story. You can see it here.) Before I begin, I would like to let you know that most of these pics are pretty blurry. I don't know why, but my camera decided that today was not the day for indoor photography.

"Molly. Molly, MOLLY!! Wake up!!" I heard Felicity yelling my name, but didn't understand why she wanted me to wake up in my own dream. 

"Molly, I really need you to get up. It's almost 11:00." Felicity gently nudged me. 

"Here. Put this on." Felicity dumped a pile of clothes onto my body.

"Fine. I'm awake." I opened my eyes just a crack and saw her still standing over me. She nodded and moved out of the way so I could get out of bed. "Why do you want me to wake up?" 

"Well, mostly because you've been sleeping forever, but also because I'm bored."

I slipped past Lissie, and walked to our new vanity in the bathroom. I washed my face, brushed my teeth, and brushed my hair. I thought about taking a shower, but I figured that would make Lissie even more impatient. 

I could hear Felicity making the bed in our room. 

I walked out, feeling refreshed. "Alright, I'm ready."

I began to walk out of the room, and Felicity followed me. We could hear whispers from the kitchen. We entered the dining room.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!" our sisters screamed. Felicity and I jumped back in surprise, making us all laugh. We sat down at the table, adjacent to Nicki.

"Alrighty, we all put our money together and bought you each a gift," Nicki said, gesturing to the large box in front of her. Marie said, "Open it already!!!"

We both opened the box and saw that the contents were wrapped in paper. (Sorry about the Christmas paper, we're out of plain paper XD)

Lissie unwrapped the contents, and handed me a pair of lime green pajamas. "Aww, thank you guys! I love them, I've been needing some new P.J.'s!"

Felicity's gift was laying in her lap. She gently lifted up the royal blue dress and sighed. "Oh, my goodness, it's beautiful! How did you guys get this??" 
Julie said, "It was VERY hard to get it, but we did."
Lissie replied, "Oh, thank you!!"

"We didn't know what else to get you, so we are going to give you some spending money, too." Cecile handed us each a $50 bill. 

Felicity and I stood up, and our sisters came over. "YES!! I love group hugs," Marie said as she ran over.
(Sorry that Marie, Caroline, and Julie aren't in the photo. I couldn't get them to stand up straight.)

"Okay, now that you opened your gifts, we have to sing to you!" Cecile said. Felicity and I sat down while Nicki, Cecile, Caroline, Julie, and Marie stood to sing.

 "Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Molly and Lissie, happy birthday to you!!!" they chorused. 

Cake was served, and we all sat down, laughing and having a good time.

Happy Birthday to the twins!! 

I want to tell you guys about something new that June and I are going to be starting. Most of you have probably seen June's Divergent "Faction before Blood" poster. Well, she and I are going to start creating posters where our dolls are supposed to represent different book and movie characters. (i.e. Hunger games, Divergent, The Gone series) Are you guys excited for this new addition to our blog? Also, if any of you have ideas for posters, please comment below! (Please be aware that we can only make SOME posters. Some of your suggestions may be things we can't recreate, or we don't have time to recreate because of a lack of knowledge about that subject. This doesn't mean you can't suggest several things. You would probably be surprised how many books both of us have read. We can't wait to see your suggestions!)

I have three last updates and then I will be done posting for the day. I have all of the photos taken for my Summer-y photo shoot, but none of the photos have a watermark, so that needs to be done. I will try to post it within the next week, but school activities and homework may prevent that. 

Second update: I took some photos of our "Doll Wall" (Our Doll Wall is basically our dollhouse on the floor or a doll room, but it is just a wall) and I hope to post that soon, but once again, depending on activities this week, I'm not sure when it will be posted. :)

Final update: We were going to do a BeForever "thoughts" post, and we still plan to do that, but yet again, it depends on what the week ahead will be like.

Isn't it beautiful? And it's used!! I have always loved this outfit, and wasn't able to get it before it retired, but now I have it!! :)
